The No-BS Guide to Auditing Your Agency in 30 Minutes

5 min read

You don't need a consultant to find out if your agency is earning its fee. Six questions, one spreadsheet, and thirty minutes of uncomfortable honesty.

1. Who owns your accounts?

Log in to your Google Ads, Meta Business Manager and Analytics. If you can't — or you're only a 'viewer' — that's your first red flag. You should be the owner; the agency should be a partner with access.

2. Can they name your cost per customer?

Not cost per click, not cost per lead — cost per paying customer. If the agency can't give you this number (or a clear plan to get it), they're reporting activity, not results.

3. Does the report mention revenue?

Open last month's report and search for 'revenue', 'sales' or 'customers'. If those words don't appear, the report is designed to show effort, not outcomes.

4. What did they tell you to stop doing?

A good partner cuts things that don't work. If nothing has ever been paused, reduced or killed, nobody is really looking at the numbers.

Still not sure? That's what our free audit teardown is for — we'll go through all of this with you and tell you honestly, even if the answer is 'your agency is fine'.
